San Diego Institute of Technology (SDIT) 

 

This Enrollment / Educational Services Agreement (“Agreement”) is entered into between San Diego Institute of Technology (SDIT) (“Institution,” “SDIT,” “we,” or “us”) and the enrolling student (“Student,” “you”).

 

This document represents the agreement in effect at the time of enrollment and is provided for the Student’s records.

1. Notice of Electronic Acceptance 

 

By completing enrollment and submitting payment through SDIT’s secure enrollment system, the Student electronically reviewed and affirmatively accepted this Agreement, along with the Refund Policy and Student Consumer Information, at the time of enrollment.

 

Acceptance was recorded electronically and time-stamped. No additional signature is required for validity.

2. Scope of Educational Services 

 

SDIT provides non-degree, certificate-based educational programs. Instruction may include in-person classes, workshops, laboratories, supervised projects, experiential learning, and limited online components, as described in applicable program materials and the Academic Catalog.

 

SDIT does not offer degree-granting programs.

3. Program Details 

 

Program-specific information — including program title, instructional hours, duration, curriculum structure, learning objectives, and completion requirements — is described in the SDIT Academic Catalog and related program descriptions. These materials are incorporated into this Agreement by reference.

4. Tuition and Fees 

 

The Student agreed to pay all tuition and fees associated with the selected program as disclosed prior to enrollment. Tuition and fees may include:

 • Program tuition

 • A non-refundable application fee (if applicable)

 • Books, materials, or third-party costs (if applicable)

 

Payment of tuition constitutes acceptance of this Agreement.

5. Refund and Cancellation Policy 

 

Right to Cancel 

 

The Student had the right to cancel enrollment and receive a full refund of all tuition and fees paid if cancellation occurred within seven (7) calendar days after acceptance of this Agreement or through attendance at the first instructional session, whichever was later.

 

Withdrawal After Instruction Has Begun 

 

If the Student withdraws after the cancellation period, the Student is entitled to a pro-rata refund for the portion of the program not received, calculated in accordance with California law and SDIT’s Refund Policy.

 

Refund Timeline 

 

All refunds are issued within forty-five (45) calendar days of the effective date of cancellation or withdrawal.

6. Student Responsibilities 

 

The Student agrees to:

 • Attend and participate in required instructional activities

 • Maintain satisfactory academic progress

 • Comply with SDIT policies, procedures, and codes of conduct

 • Follow all safety, facility, and equipment guidelines

 • Provide accurate and truthful information during enrollment

 

Failure to comply may result in dismissal from the program without additional refund beyond what is required by law.

7. No Guarantee of Outcomes 

 

The Student acknowledges that SDIT:

 • Does not guarantee employment, job placement, licensure, certification, or salary outcomes

 • Provides educational services on an instructional, best-effort basis

 

Any career guidance, networking opportunities, or professional support offered by SDIT does not constitute a promise or guarantee of results.

8. Transferability of Credentials 

 

The Student understands that the transferability of certificates or instructional credit earned at SDIT is at the sole discretion of the receiving institution. SDIT makes no representation or guarantee that credentials earned will be accepted by any other institution or organization.

9. Student Complaint Process 

 

Students are encouraged to attempt to resolve concerns directly with SDIT.

 

If a complaint cannot be resolved internally, the Student may submit a complaint to:

10. Student Tuition Recovery Fund (STRF) 

 

The State of California established the Student Tuition Recovery Fund (STRF) to relieve or mitigate economic losses suffered by students who attend certain private postsecondary institutions regulated by the BPPE.

 

A Student may be eligible for STRF reimbursement if the institution closes, fails to provide educational services, or commits other violations as defined by law. STRF assessments are non-refundable.

11. Limitation of Liability 

 

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SDIT shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from participation in its programs. SDIT’s total liability, if any, shall not exceed the amount of tuition paid by the Student.

12. Governing Law 

 

This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

13. Entire Agreement 

 

This Agreement, together with the Academic Catalog and Student Consumer Information, constitutes the entire agreement between the Student and SDIT regarding enrollment and educational services. No verbal statements or prior representations not contained herein are binding.
